YOUTH GROUP MOVIE NIGHT TUESDAY, DECEMBER 27TH, 6—8 PM
YOUTH GROUP NEWS—SUMMER 2017 TRIP
Our youth group will be joining the Holmen Lutheran youth again this year for their summer trip. The dates of the trip are July 23-28, 2017 (possibly 2 more days). The youth will be attending Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp in Lakeside, Montana, www.flbc.net . They will be participating in Glacier Wilderness Adventures which includes activities like kayaking, white water rafting, and rock climbing. This trip is open to current 8th grade and high school students. A deposit of $150 will be due on December 30th for youth who are planning to go. Total costs and fundraising will be determined by the number of youth attending. Please contact us with questions or to RSVP for the trip.

DECEMBER 18—COOKIE WALK AT 9:15 A.M.
Music ministries will be holding their annual cookie walk fundraiser. We will be selling cookies for $6/lb. Empty bakery boxes will be provided for people purchasing cookies.
We are need of homemade cookie donations of any amount—1 dozen or 10 dozen, you decide. Cookies can be brought to the narthex that morning. Cookies for sale will be left in the container you bring them in so please be sure to mark your container. You are not required to donate cookies to participate in the walk.

COULEE REGION GOSPEL CHOIR CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES
The Coulee Region Gospel Choir will present three performances of “Christmas Fantasia”.

No tickets—A Free Will Offering will be collected at these concerts
Holmen High School Performing Arts Center
Sunday, December 4 4 pm—-Benefit concert; $10 tickets sold at the door.
The proceeds from this concert will benefit the Holmen Community Center .
Halfway Creek members performing with the choir include John Daily, Carolyn Bjerke, Jacob Thornton, Jameson Happel, and Patti Happel.

THANKSGIVING EVE CHOIR AND SERVICE
Journey will be offering service at 7:00 p.m. Thanksgiving Eve. There will be a combined choir from Journey, Holmen Lutheran, and Halfway Creek Lutheran for this service. Rehearsal will take place at Journey at 6 pm on Thanksgiving Eve. If you are interested in singing, please contact Lynn Wegner for a copy of the music. ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING
We are in need of families to help light the Advent candles and read a short Advent narrative during the Sundays in Advent and Christmas Eve services. Not everyone from the family needs to speak.
Family can be two old or new friends, a couple, several generations, other extended family, or a family of parents and children. Whatever is family to you.
