We will be having a noisy offering for local and national flood relief at all services on Sunday, October 23 & Sunday, October 30th. So bring your loose change to make a joyful noise and make a different in the lives of others in need.

On Sept. 21-22 Sugar Creek experienced significant flooding throughout the camp. Damage occurred to fencing, roads; round bales, trees and debris spread throughout the camp; destruction of cement floor in the shop; water damage in some camp residences. The damage estimate from this flooding is between $20,000 and $22,000 at this time.

On Sunday, September 11, we will be joining Journey and Holmen Lutheran for a combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. at the Halfway Creek Park Bandshell. Following the service, we will join forces to work on projects around the community.

Journey Lutheran will be hosting Wednesday evening outdoor worship in conjunction with Holmen Lutheran and Halfway Creek Lutheran. The services will be held at 6:30 pm continuing through August 31. There will be hotdogs and s’mores each week.

A Vintage Fashion Show (1860s-1970s) hosted by the Holmen Area Historical Society and Holmen FFA Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 6:00 PM at the Trygve Mathison Fine Arts Center at Holmen High School. Come to this free event to enjoy: vintage clothing, historic photos, music, displays and old-fashioned refreshments. Bring your classic car or come dressed in vintage clothing and hats.

Summer is here and Holmen’s Hope is providing a summer lunch program for kids. Once again we are asking for your help in collecting fruit snacks in pre-packaged individual snack size bags.
If you are able to help in any way we would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be dropped off at the Holmen American Legion.

We’re on the “moove” to stomp out hunger! HCLC will be working to “buy a cow” for the Synod’s 2016 campaign to end world hunger. Each wooden cow represents $500. Watch as we decorate our cow in the next two months as we work on reaching our goal.
Halfway Creek Lutheran Church is scheduled to prepare and serve Holmen’s Hope meal at the Holmen American Legion on Tuesday, April 26. From 5-7 p.m., with clean-up following. Volunteer sign-up sheets will be passed around during services. This is a congregational outreach event and we hope you will join us. All that is needed of you is your hands, feet and a dessert. For those of you who have not been to our Holmen’s Hope meal please, try to attend. This is a great opportunity to reach out to share Christ with all and gather with our community in fellowship. Confirmation students will receive community service hours for volunteering.
