Reaching Out to Share Christ with All
Halfway Creek Lutheran Church will be bell ringing for the Salvation Army the week of November 28th! All shifts are two hours at Festival Foods in Holmen. There is a minimum of two people required for each shift. Families are encouraged to sign up together.

On Sunday, November 13th we will have ONE WORSHIP SERVICE at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Consecration Sunday Celebration Meal.

We will be having a noisy offering for local and national flood relief at all services on Sunday, October 23 & Sunday, October 30th. So bring your loose change to make a joyful noise and make a different in the lives of others in need.

Now that we have this lovely new building, we need to make sure we have a well-stocked property team. If you like buildings, or some parts of them, and you like good company, please consider joining this team. We need your observations, wisdom, and talents to help us settle in better and stay well cared for. Join us by being good stewards of this place. And the company is good besides. On Sept. 21-22 Sugar Creek experienced significant flooding throughout the camp. Damage occurred to fencing, roads; round bales, trees and debris spread throughout the camp; destruction of cement floor in the shop; water damage in some camp residences. The damage estimate from this flooding is between $20,000 and $22,000 at this time.

Join us for 2 hours, Saturday, October 29, 11 am – 1 pm for our 4th annual Trunk or Treat in the Halfway Creek Church parking lot! Children will Trunk (Trick) or Treat to each vehicle! For a small cost a hotdog lunch, cake walk, face painting, games, and more will be available. You are invited to decorate your trunk, car, tractor, wagon, camper, or a vehicle of choice. Wear a costume and have fun!

This is an invitation to join one of the small discussion groups that we have talked about over the last weeks and months. This opportunity is one of the most important times for our congregation this year.
This is an opportunity, in a safe and respectful setting, to say and hear from fellow church goers regarding the events of the last year. We do not suppose that it will “fix” everything that has happened, but it is essential to how we will go forward with each other.
Come with a friend or partner, come alone, come if you are a regular church attendee, and please come if you are not here often. Come if you are in your twenties or nineties and every age in between. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
All sessions will last no more than 90 minutes and will be held at Halfway Creek Lutheran Church. Please sign up only one person on a slot (not Jane and Joe Smith on one slot); as we limit the groups to 9 persons each. You can sign up here.
There is a special session set aside for Youth – please sign up for the Wednesday, September 14th session if you are in high school; by calling the church or clicking on the link above. Confirmation age conversation will take place for this year’s 7th and 8th graders on Wednesday, September 21.

100 beautiful quilts, antiques, sports memorabilia, crafts, furniture, and other items of all kinds. Great Bar-B-Que pork lunch, homemade pies, etc! Country Store will be open all day. Silent Auction at 1:00.

What: Halfway Hodgepodge is a progressive meal where you can learn about and volunteer for our ministries here at the church. Tables will be set up and each will feature a different ministry. Also at that table will be the next part of your meal. It is a fun way to see all that we do here! When: Sunday, September 18th, following our 10:00 a.m. worship service.

On Sunday, September 11, we will be joining Journey and Holmen Lutheran for a combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. at the Halfway Creek Park Bandshell. Following the service, we will join forces to work on projects around the community.
