Please contact Jenessa Hill if you are willing to serve in our children’s ministry in any way. We are looking for volunteers to teach classes and assist, substitute teach, plan celebrations, and help with music. We are also looking for volunteers to staff the nursery during the late service during the school year.

The Vision Board will be forming a Call Committee of six members to call a new pastor. This committee will be demographically diverse. People willing to serve on this committee must be willing to serve for at least a year and make this commitment a priority. If you are interested in serving on the Call Committee, please contact a member of the Vision Board so that your name can be added to list of possible committee members.

We ask that all our members come together in our search for a new pastor. Bishop Arends will lead us in an open conversation about the pastoral call process at 5:30 p.m. on February 21, at the church. All are welcome to attend.

Our annual meeting of the congregation will be at 11:45 on February 7. Because of this there will be one service at 10:30 that day. Our meeting will also include a potluck meal. This year we will have an “Alphabet” theme for the meal. Please provide a dish that starts with the letter of your last name from the following courses:
As we start to near the end of 2015, please continue to grow in generosity by sending or bringing your offerings regularly, even when you’re absent our ministry continues. Please look for a display that will be set up near the entrance of the sanctuary for ideas for how you can financially contribute to Halfway Creek and our mission.

Halfway Creek has been named a fast growth congregation by our governing body in the La Crosse Area Synod. Because of this we are eligible to apply for a grant that will help with the needs of a growing congregation including things like staffing and programming. We will soon begin the process of brainstorming and writing that grant. If you are interested in helping with this, please contact us. We have to have the grant submitted by the middle of January so this would be a short term commitment.
