Reaching Out to Share Christ with All

Funds raised will support Share Food With All ministry and the youth mission trip to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation this summer. Pampered Chef books and order forms will soon be available on the Share Food With All cabinet in the narthex.
All members and friends are invited and asked to bring a non-perishable food item. The food items will be donated and used for Holmen’s Hope monthly community meal.

Get in shape for spring! Halfway Creek will be hosting an eight-week Jazzercise Session beginning on Monday, March 7th. Jazzercise fuses cardio, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing and of course, the demanding forms of dance; burning up to 800 calories in one 60-minute class. Classes will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $65 for Halfway Creek members and $75 for non-members (check payable to Jazzercise). This fee also includes the opportunity to attend 16 other class times at La Crosse locations.

There will be a meeting for Confirmation parents, and parents of youth attending the mission trip on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at church. We ask that only parents attend this meeting. The youth trip is still on for this summer. More details regarding youth activities will be announced soon by the Youth Team.

We ask that all our members come together in our search for a new pastor. Bishop Arends will lead us in an open conversation about the pastoral call process at 5:30 p.m. on February 21, at the church. All are welcome to attend.

The annual meeting of the Halfway Creek Cemetery Association will follow the 10:30 am service.

Our annual meeting of the congregation will be at 11:45 on February 7. Because of this there will be one service at 10:30 that day. Our meeting will also include a potluck meal. This year we will have an “Alphabet” theme for the meal. Please provide a dish that starts with the letter of your last name from the following courses:
Please join us on Fat Tuesday, February 9th from 4 to 10 pm at Texas Roadhouse (by the mall) for a night of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. You can contact us to pre-order scrip cards for the event. Those orders are due on January 31st. We will receive 10% from the gift card orders and the proceeds will go to Share Food With All.
In addition, we will earn 10% from all people who turn in a dine in flyer at the event. Those proceeds will be distributed between Share Food with All and the Youth Mission Trip. The youth will also have a donation table at the event to earn money for their mission trip this summer. Be sure to wear you Halfway Creek apparel to the event also to reach out to share Christ with all.

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and the imposition of ashes on our foreheads as a reminder that “we are dust and to dust we shall return”. We will have worship at 6:30 that evening.
