  1. Halfway Creek Halfway to Half Marathon, 5K walk/run, and kids run

Our mission is to kick off a season of physical engagement, that promotes holistic health and community connections. This event is being held as a way to spread the message of hope for those with or impacted by mental illness, and to highlight the positive impact that physical activity has on our overall health and wellbeing.

  1. Celebrate Winter Scavenger Hunt

Our mission is to provide physical activity opportunities to lift our spirits throughout the winter. Winter is often looked at as a time of hibernation. This will be an 8 week scavenger hunt around our local counties with checkpoints located in places that encourage us to be active, find peace, and/or feel comfort.

Because of these two big events, we are looking to hire an event sponsorship coordinator. The job description is as follows:

The Celebrate Together Strength Event Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for identifying and soliciting individual and corporate sponsorships for the main fundraising and awareness events: Halfway Creek’s Halfway to a Half Marathon and Celebrate Winter Scavenger hunt. The Event Sponsorship Coordinator will submit sponsorship requests, follow-up with potential sponsors, and maintain communication with event coordinators. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, reliable, organized, thorough and timely. This position will pay 15% of the total money collected from sponsors. The solicitation of sponsors will begin in February of 2016 and communication with event coordinators and sponsors will continue through August 2016.
