Summer Ushers and Acolytes Needed
Are you interested in helping out at worship services this summer? We typically have confirmation students and their families Usher and Acolyte, but in the summer, we open this up to anyone that wants to help. This is open to people of all ages. Families with young children may want to volunteer as a way to introduce them to serving in the church. Your duties are to light the candles before service, hand out bulletins and take up the collection. If we get enough volunteers, you may only be asked to do this once this summer. Please look for a sign-up sheet during Worship services. You can also sign up online via this link.

Sunday School & Nursery Volunteers needed for 2016-2017 year
Please contact Jenessa Hill if you are willing to serve in our children’s ministry in any way. We are looking for volunteers to teach classes and assist, substitute teach, plan celebrations, and help with music. We are also looking for volunteers to staff the nursery during the late service during the school year.

Please join us Sunday, September 18th at 9:15 for Sunday School Registration for the 2016-2017 school year.Come and register your children, the kids can meet their teachers and participate in a fun activity.

Wednesday Evening Worship at Journey Lutheran
Journey Lutheran will be hosting Wednesday evening outdoor worship in conjunction with Holmen Lutheran and Halfway Creek Lutheran. The services will be held at 6:30 pm continuing through August 31. There will be hotdogs and s’mores each week.

From Hoop Skirts to Bell Bottoms: 100 Years of Holmen Style
A Vintage Fashion Show (1860s-1970s) hosted by the Holmen Area Historical Society and Holmen FFA Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 6:00 PM at the Trygve Mathison Fine Arts Center at Holmen High School. Come to this free event to enjoy: vintage clothing, historic photos, music, displays and old-fashioned refreshments. Bring your classic car or come dressed in vintage clothing and hats.

Holmen’s Hope Donation Request
Summer is here and Holmen’s Hope is providing a summer lunch program for kids. Once again we are asking for your help in collecting fruit snacks in pre-packaged individual snack size bags.
If you are able to help in any way we would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be dropped off at the Holmen American Legion.

Choir Loft Area Remodel
In order to utilize our sanctuary space more effectively, the Music & Liturgy Team has come up with a plan to modify the choir loft area. This will be a minimal cost project, but we are in need congregational volunteers to help with the remodel. The work will be scheduled from July 31st through August 13th.
