Christmas Tree Setup – Help Needed!

Christmas Tree

We will be setting up two Christmas trees in the sanctuary next Wednesday, November 26th at 1:00 pm.  There is no school that day, so youth are more than welcome to come and help decorate!  Confirmation students will receive service hours for helping.  Please reply to this email if you are able to help!

Caring Tree Ministry

Gift Tag

The caring tree is set up in the front of the church with “gift tags” on it. Each tag lists the age and gender of a child from Holmen School District who is in need of a gift at Christmas time. There are 2 tags on the tree for each child (we have 31 children on our list); one item is clothing (pink tags) and the other is a fun item (green tags.). All  gifts are $25 or less (most children have requested items less than $25). If you would like to spend more than that , please take both tags for that child or select more tags.

Record your first name and phone numbers on the list by the Caring Tree when taking a tag. Please return all gifts (wrapped with the tag attached)  by  December 9th to the area by the tree or drop off at the church office.

If you have any items you would like to donate for this event, please bring them to the church basement!  We are looking for gently used items.

School Cancellation Childcare on Cold Days – Volunteers Needed!

Kermit in Snow

We hope that we don’t have too many cancellations because of the cold this year, but in case we have some, we will be opening the church again for free childcare for families who still need to work on those days.  We are looking for adults and youth who would be willing to volunteer their time (6:30 am – 4:00 pm) for either part or all of a day to play with us!  It was a great outreach opportunity last year.  Please contact Pastor Jean if you’re able to volunteer.  Thank you!

Get Moving Today

Walking Cartoon

For the month of November, keep track of the days you’ve completed fitness activities (highlight, star, or cross off your Faith and Fitness calendars coming out soon).  If you’ve completed at least 10 activities during the month, fill out the online form or the forms at church.  We will hold monthly incentive drawings and after a year we will recognize those who completed 12 months of activities!

Also, if you are already active for 30 minutes or more a day, you are eligible for the drawing as well!  Simply fill out the form and indicate how you’ve been staying active.  You can also fill out a form at church and place it in the white tennis shoe located on the table near the entryway.  Thanks!
